Lobster Fishing

I was just thinking about how technology can make a big difference in someone's life. I grew up watching my uncles fish, they would take me out on the boat when i was about 11 years old to cut bait. I remember how my uncles used to find thier traps. All they had back then was a compus and coordinates and it would be almost impossible for someone to do if they knew nothing about it. Today when I go fishing with them we use plotters that have the whole map of our fishing grounds. Depth sounders to see how deep the waters are we are fishing in. I was on a boat that even had a laptop hooked up in it.
Before this new technology was really available to us you would have to know coordinates are all about. Today a guy could pretty much jump on the boat for the first time and find his traps. Theres a little cursor on the screen which is your boat and as you move your map adjusts. It will show you and bring you right to the exact spot where your traps are. That could save you a lot of time and make your job easier and you can be more efficient. Thats just one example of how technology has made a fishermans job easier.
